Privacy Policy - Test Your French

Test Your French is a privacy-first language assessment app. We do not collect, sell or share your personal data. Your progress and results are stored only in your browser (localStorage) and are never sent to our servers, with one exception: entering a device unlock code (see below).

What we store

Your quiz progress and scores (in your browser only)
Your first name and email if you choose to save your profile (optional, local only)
If you enter a device unlock code (including trial codes we sometimes distribute), a device-generated identifier and the code you entered are sent to our redeem-code service, hosted on Cloudflare, to enforce a usage limit and prevent abuse. This record is kept indefinitely; contact us to request deletion.
No third-party trackers, except anonymous Google Analytics (for traffic and conversion statistics only)

Third-party services

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never store payment information.

Device unlock code verification (see "What we store" above) is handled by Cloudflare (Workers and a D1 database), which also processes your IP address for that request to prevent abuse.
